A Sympathetic High Priest

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: A Sympathetic High Priest.

Hebrews 4:15:
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin."

This verse unveils the tender nature of Jesus Christ. He is neither distant nor detached from the human experience; rather, he is intimately acquainted with your struggles and is never unable to understand your weaknesses. He faced temptation in every point just as we do—yet he remained entirely without sin.

When you find yourself battling temptation or sinking into discouragement, remember that you are not approaching a Savior who is indifferent to your plight. Instead, you are coming to One who fully understands the weight of temptation, having faced and overcome it perfectly. His sympathy does not offer an excuse for sin; rather, it provides the strength you need to fight against it. Because He conquered sin, those who belong to Him are no longer held captive as its slaves. If you lose a battle, do not give up. Jesus loves and sustains you. Continue to seek Jesus for help and victory. You will not be disappointed. Jesus never fails.

If you have never turned away from your sin and placed your trust in Christ alone, today is the day to do so. While sin creates a divide between you and God, Christ offers salvation to all who truly repent and believe. His grace does not merely forgive—it transforms your life.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
