Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness
Malachi 4:1–2 (KJV):“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”
Jesus Christ is the “Sun of righteousness” foretold in Malachi 4:2, and He is the eternal Son of God. Thank God that today is another day to proclaim Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, whose saving light brings healing to His people.
Matthew 4:16 says:
“The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.”
Jesus is that great Light who came into this dark world to bring salvation and life to those who trust in Him.
Listen to the words of Jesus in John 8:12:
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Fellow follower of Jesus, walk with confidence today as you follow Jesus, the Light of the world. He will guide you through the many challenges of life.
And if you do not know the forgiveness Jesus offers to sinners, then turn to Him in prayer now, place your faith in Him, and follow Him.
