Let's listen to God's Word in the Gospel of Mark:
"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."
— Mark 8:38 (NKJV)
In this warning, Jesus speaks directly to the very heart of our daily walk. He reminds us that our commitment to Him and His teachings must be unwavering, even in a world that so often opposes His truth.
As we navigate our busy routines, we encounter so many subtle pressures that tempt us to quiet our faith, hide our beliefs, or simply blend into the background. But Jesus wants us to live with confidence today, knowing that any day now He will return in the glory of the Father, surrounded by His holy angels.
How do we live unashamed of Him right now? We do it by faith in Jesus alone and by following Jesus alone, seeking the Holy Spirit's help in living faithfully and boldly for Him.
Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of Your Son’s return in glory. Help us to live as disciples of Jesus Christ and live for His return. Amen.
