“Father, thank You for this new morning and for speaking through Your holy Word. I confess that in myself I am prone to wander, dull in hearing, and slow to obey. So fix my heart on Jesus Christ, the true and faithful Shepherd, and teach me to hear His voice today. Let Your Spirit use the Scriptures to expose my sin, humble my pride, strengthen my faith, and conform me to the image of Your Son.
Lord Jesus, You are the truth, and apart from You I have no light, no wisdom, and no hope. Keep me from the deceit of my own heart and from the lies of the world. Cause me to receive Your words with faith, submit to Your lordship without resistance, and walk in obedience out of love for You. Let my thoughts, speech, desires, and choices bear witness that I belong to You. May I not merely listen to Your Word, but do it, for Your glory and by Your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
