This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Perfect Peace.
Our Scripture is Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV): "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."
We all long for peace, but God's peace isn't found in a trouble-free life. It's found in trusting the One who is in complete control. Perfect peace flows from a believer's trust in God's sovereign will. When we believe that our heavenly Father is working all things according to His perfect purpose, our hearts can rest even in difficult times.
This peace is found in Jesus Christ. Before He went to the cross, He told His disciples, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you." The peace Jesus gives is not dependent on our circumstances. It is the settled confidence that He is with us and will never fail us.
Isaiah tells us that this peace belongs to the one whose mind is "stayed" on God. That means our thoughts are fixed on Christ and anchored in His Word. The more we fill our minds with His promises, the less room there is for fear and anxiety to rule our hearts.
Today, whatever you're facing, fix your eyes on Jesus. Trust Him, believe His Word, and let Him fill you with the perfect peace that only He can give.
Let's pray:
Father, thank You for being completely trustworthy. Help us to fix our minds on Jesus and to rest in Your sovereign care. Fill our hearts with the peace that Christ alone can give, and teach us to trust You in every circumstance. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
Until next time, keep your eyes on Jesus.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
