Kept When You Feel Weak

This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Kept When You Feel Weak.

“who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” — 1 Peter 1:5 (WEB)

Some days, the Christian life feels like an uphill climb. You may wonder if you'll have the strength to keep going through grief, disappointment, illness, or unanswered prayers. Peter offers a wonderful reminder: your ultimate security does not depend on the strength of your grip on God, but on His faithful grip on you. You are guarded by the power of God.

Think of Elijah. After experiencing God's mighty victory on Mount Carmel, he became exhausted and discouraged, even asking the Lord to take his life. Yet God did not abandon him. He cared for him, strengthened him, and restored him for the work ahead. Or consider Peter himself. He denied the Lord three times, yet Jesus sought him out, restored him, and used him mightily. God's preserving grace was greater than Peter's failure.

Perhaps today you feel weary or inadequate. Take heart. The Lord has not forgotten you. He knows every burden you carry, every tear you shed, and every fear you quietly battle. The same God who has brought you this far will continue to keep you. His power is not exhausted by your weakness, and His faithfulness does not waver when yours does.

So today, rest in His promises rather than your performance. Keep trusting Christ, one step at a time. The Savior who called you is faithfully guarding you.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
