Listen to what it says here in Psalm 16:8 (NLT):
I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
Let's reflect on this for a moment. If you are a follower of Jesus, He is beside you right now. He goes with you throughout every activity of your day. And because He is with you, you do not have to be shaken. As you trust His sovereign will for your life, you can walk in confidence, knowing that He will never leave your side.
Now consider what God says in Hebrews 13:5 (NLT):
"...I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."
What a comforting promise! We may drift away from close fellowship with Him, but He never abandons His own. I know this is true in my own life. There was a time when I knew the Lord but was not living for Him. Yet He still cared for me. He protected me, pursued me, and graciously drew me back to Himself. That is His keeping power!
So today, rejoice that Jesus is right here with you. He is with you now, and He will be with you every step of the way.
