This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Better Than Life.
Our Scripture is Psalm 63:3 (NKJV):
"Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You."
Think about those words for a moment. David was in the wilderness, yet he could still praise God because he had discovered something better than anything this world could offer—God's lovingkindness.
We see that lovingkindness most clearly in Jesus Christ. God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus took the punishment we deserved so that everyone who believes in Him would receive forgiveness, eternal life, and a forever relationship with God.
That is why God's lovingkindness is better than life. Everything in this world will one day pass away, but His love never will. Because of Jesus, we are His forever. Nothing can separate us from His love.
So today, take a few moments to thank Jesus for His amazing love. Praise Him for His sacrifice, His forgiveness, and the eternal life He freely gives. His lovingkindness truly is better than life.
