Your Divine Purpose

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Your Divine Purpose.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.- Psalm 139:13 (NIV)

As we reflect on this beautiful verse, we are reminded of the intimate and intentional way God created each one of us. The imagery of God knitting us together in our mother’s womb speaks to His deep involvement in our lives from the very beginning.

Think about the word "knit." When someone knits, they take individual strands of yarn and weave them together to create something unique and beautiful. In the same way, God has woven together our personalities, our gifts, and our purpose. Each of us is a masterpiece, designed with care and intention.

Now, consider the purpose behind this creation. God did not just create us to exist; He created us to be in relationship with Him. As followers of Jesus, we are called to live out that relationship daily. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

This means that our very being is crafted for a purpose—to follow Jesus and to reflect His love in the world. Just as God knows us intimately, He also knows the plans He has for us.

As you go about your day, remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Embrace your identity as a follower of Christ, knowing that you were created with a divine purpose.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
