Unashamed of Jesus

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Unashamed of Jesus.

"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
— Mark 8:38 (NIV)

We must call things what they are. We live in a world that is living in rebellion to God. As followers of Jesus, we clearly see that this generation is spiritually drifting. The reality is that the spirit of the antichrist—which actively resists and opposes the truth about Jesus—is already at work all around us.

In a culture like this, it is incredibly easy to feel pressured to quiet our faith or blend into the background. But Jesus issues a solemn, direct warning to anyone who is ashamed of Him or His words.

So we must look at our own hearts today. Do we see this world for what it is, or are we slowly letting it shape us?

Now is the time to stand firm. We must boldly embrace the teachings of Jesus, asking the Holy Spirit for His supernatural help to follow the teachings of Jesus every single day.

We must also be active in our mission. We are called to make disciples—fellow followers of Jesus. That means we cannot stay silent. We must proclaim the powerful message of faith in Jesus and His cleansing blood sacrifice for our sins.

Let go of the fear of man today. Walk out into your day with bold confidence, unashamed of the Savior who gave everything for you.

That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
