Great and Mighty Things

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Great and Mighty Things.

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
— Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)

When we read this verse, our minds often jump to massive miracles. But the "great and mighty things" God wants to show us are frequently found in the highly practical, everyday details of our lives.

God does not expect you to carry your heavy burdens alone. He invites you to look to Him for help today.

Think about the immediate concerns occupying your mind right now.

If you are dealing with difficult people, remember to pray about it today. Bring that demanding boss, that irritable coworker, that difficult customer, or that unfair teacher straight to God and ask Him for His help.

If you are navigating career decisions and job hunting, remember to pray about it today. Ask the Lord for wisdom in your interviews, clear guidance on your career transitions, or simply the endurance to get through a boring or stressful work day.

And if you are carrying the weight of financial stress, remember to pray about it today. God cares about your unpaid bills, those unexpected car repairs, and the high cost of groceries and basic needs.

The "great and mighty thing" God wants to show you today might not be a dramatic sign in the heavens. It might be a quiet, perfect peace that keeps your heart steady in the middle of a storm. It might be an unexpected door of provision opening right when you need it most. Or it might simply be the strength to walk through your routine with joy.

Do not carry these burdens into your day alone. Call on Him, because He is listening.

That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
