Living Righteously

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Living Righteously.

In 1 John 2:29, we read, "If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him." This verse highlights a profound truth: our relationship with God is reflected in our actions. Knowing that God is righteous compels us to live righteously as well.

When we are born of Him, we are transformed. Our hearts are changed, and we begin to desire what He desires. Practicing righteousness is not just about following rules; it’s about embodying the character of Christ in our daily lives.

However, we must acknowledge that sometimes we stray from this path. A backslider may find themselves wandering away from the righteousness they once embraced. But the good news is that God is always ready to welcome us back. In James 5:19-20, we are reminded that if someone turns from the truth, we can help bring them back, and in doing so, we save their soul from death.

If you or someone you know is feeling distant from God, remember that His arms are open wide. Repentance is the first step back to righteousness. God desires to restore us, to renew our hearts, and to guide us back to the path of righteousness.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
