He Restores My Soul

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: He Restores My Soul.

Psalm 23:3 (BSB):
"He restores my soul;He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name."

David does not say we restore our own souls. He declares that God does it. A weary soul is not just tired from life—it is burdened by sin, wandering, and distance from the Shepherd.

When your soul feels dry or heavy, the answer is not self-repair. Scripture teaches that apart from Christ, we are unable to bring life to ourselves. Restoration is an act of God’s grace.

So how does God restore the soul?

He restores through His Word, which revives and redirects us in truth.

He restores through repentance, as we turn from sin and are cleansed.

He restores through Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep.

And He does it for His name’s sake—to display His faithfulness and glory.

If your soul is weary today, don’t look inward—look to Christ. He restores, He leads, and He keeps His people in the path of righteousness.

That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
