Christian - forgiven - grateful

Welcome. My name is Richard Templin Hancock and I’m here to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. I'm glad you're here—let's walk this path together.
I hope these blog posts will be a source of encouragement to you as you walk with Jesus:

Delivered and Transferred

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Delivered and Transferred.

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." (Colossians 1:13)

In the ancient world, when one king conquered another, he would often "translate" or "transfer" the population. He would physically move the people from one land to another, changing their citizenship, their laws, and their protection overnight.

Paul uses this vivid imagery to describe what Jesus did for us. This wasn't just a "self-help" improvement; it was a total relocation of your soul.

To be delivered means to be rescued from a grip you couldn't break yourself. You weren't just let out of "prison" to wander the streets. You were translated—moved into a new Kingdom. In this new land, the rules are different. Instead of the law of sin and death, the law is Grace. Instead of a tyrant, your King is the "Dear Son" who loves you.

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the miracle of relocation. Thank You for reaching into the darkness to pull me out. Help me to live today as a citizen of Your Kingdom, walking in the light and the liberty of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
