Let's listen to God's Word in the Scriptures:
"But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)... For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works..."
— Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-10
Think about those words today. Before we met Jesus, we were spiritually dead in our sins, completely unable to rescue ourselves or earn our way to heaven. But the two most beautiful, powerful words in all of human history are right here: "But God."
When we were at our lowest, God's rich mercy stepped in. He didn't look at our failures with anger; He looked at us through the lens of His unwavering love.
By grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone, we have been rescued, forgiven, and made alive. It is a completely free gift—not something we can ever earn, and not something we can ever boast about.
And now, as we walk with Him daily, the Bible tells us that we are His workmanship. That word literally means His masterpiece.
You are not an accident. The Lord has designed you in Christ for good works that He prepared for you long before you were even born. As we go about our busy routines, our jobs, and our relationships today, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide our steps so we can walk in those good works with joy and rest securely in God’s constant care.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
