The Father Himself Loveth You
John 16:27
“For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.”
Even when Jesus was facing arrest and death on the cross, He was loving and caring for His disciples. And He assured them that the Father loved them.
Think about that right now. Those of us who believe that Jesus came from God are loved by the God of the universe.
We are even reminded that God pours out His love into our hearts. Romans 5:5 tells us:
“…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
And we are loved so much that one day we will see the glory that the Father has given Jesus.
John 17:24 says:
“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.”
Find comfort this hour in knowing that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, you are loved by the Father—and you will continue to be loved throughout all eternity.
