Chosen And Appointed
"In Him also we have received an inheritance [a destiny—we were claimed by God as His own], having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will,"
Fellow follower of Jesus, know that you have a destiny. Your future is bright and filled with the promises of God. Let's open our Bibles today and discover who we are, where we are going, and how we are being blessed.
*** We have been chosen to receive God's Grace and peace in abundance:
1 Peter 1:2 NIV
"who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance."
*** We have been chosen to become brothers and sisters to Jesus:
Romans 8:29 NIV
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 12:50 NIV
"For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
How wonderful it is to know that we are loved so much by God!
Revelation 4:11 NKJV
"You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."
Let's pray:
Thank you, Heavenly Father, that we have these marvelous blessings in Christ. Our desire is to follow Your Son, Jesus Christ, and be a witness to Him in this world today. Please help us to accomplish that. Thank you. Amen.
