The Joy of God's Word.
Psalm 19:8 (NIV)
"The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes."
As I read this verse from the Psalms, I think of the many times—including even today—that God's Word has brought joy to my heart.
I also think of Christians of every age and from every nation who have the opportunity to open a Bible and be blessed. What joy fills our hearts when we are reminded that God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sins on the cross and to rise again so that all who believe in Him may have eternal life.
Just think about it. From Ukraine to the Ivory Coast, from Korea to Finland, hungry hearts are opening their Bibles and discovering the living Word of God. Every day, lives are being changed as people read His promises, find hope in Christ, and grow in their faith.
Today, thank God for His wonderful, life-giving Word. Open your Bible today, and let God fill your heart with His joy.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your precious Word. Thank You for revealing Your love through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Fill our hearts with joy as we read the Scriptures, strengthen our faith, and help us to treasure Your truth every day. May Your Word be a light to our path and lead us to follow Jesus more closely. In Jesus' name, Amen.
