This is Follow Jesus Radio, encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: Keeping Our Eyes on Jesus.
Let's listen to God's Word in Psalm 16:8 (KJV):
"I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."
What does it mean to set the Lord always before us? It means that we intentionally keep our eyes on Jesus throughout the day. We begin our day in His Word, we talk to Him in prayer, and we seek to obey His teachings. Instead of letting our circumstances lead us, we let Jesus lead us.
The wonderful promise is that as we keep our eyes on Him, we discover that He has never taken His eyes off us. He is at our right hand. He is with us in every joy, every trial, and every decision we face.
That doesn't mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we can trust Him completely. Nothing can move us outside of His sovereign love, His perfect will, or His good plan for our lives. Our Savior is faithful, and He never lets go of His own.
So today, set the Lord before you. Take time to read His Word. Spend time in His presence. Trust Him with whatever you're facing, and remember that Jesus is right beside you. As you keep your eyes on Him, you'll find the strength and peace to stand firm.
