Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) – "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Jesus does not invite us to carry our burdens alone. He calls us to Himself. His invitation is not reserved for those who have everything together, but for the weary, the discouraged, the burdened, and those who have reached the end of their own strength. Our Savior knows every weight we carry, and His heart is full of compassion.
The rest Jesus offers is more than physical relief—it is the deep peace that comes from knowing our sins are forgiven, our future is secure, and our lives are safely held in His hands. At the cross, He bore the greatest burden of all—our sin—so that we could receive the gift of His grace and walk in the freedom of His love. Because He rose from the grave, we can face each day with confidence, knowing He is with us and will never leave us.
Whatever is weighing on your heart today, bring it to Jesus. Lay every fear, every sorrow, every unanswered question, and every anxious thought before Him. He is faithful to sustain you, strengthen you, and give you the rest that only He can provide.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior and our perfect source of rest. Thank You that we do not have to carry our burdens alone because Jesus invites us to come to Him. Today we lay every care, every fear, and every struggle at His feet, trusting in His unfailing love and faithful care. Fill our hearts with the peace that only Christ can give, renew our strength through Your Holy Spirit, and help us to rest in the finished work of the cross. May our lives point others to the One who still says, "Come to Me." We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
