This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily.
Throughout the years, I have heard the expression "grace" in reference to the grace of God.
Grace is God’s undeserved kindness toward sinners through Jesus Christ. It means God does not save us because we are good enough, sincere enough, or religious enough. He saves because He is merciful, and because Jesus Christ has done everything necessary to redeem His people.
Grace is not God helping us earn salvation. It is not God overlooking sin. And it is never Christ doing part while we do the rest. The Bible says:
Romans 11:6 (BSB):
"And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace."
What a comfort that is. Our hope does not rest in our performance, but in Christ alone. God’s grace meets us in our need, our failure, and our helplessness, and points us to the Savior who is sufficient.
So when you hear the word grace, remember this:
Grace is God’s free and loving kindness to undeserving sinners in Jesus.
That is why the gospel is such good news. We are not saved by what we bring to God, but by what God has given us in His Son.
That's it for this podcast. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
