Christian - forgiven - grateful

Welcome! My name is Richard Templin Hancock and I am a senior citizen who has found great peace in his old age in the forgiveness that Jesus Christ offers to sinners. I enjoy reading my Bible and recording short Devotional podcasts with the aim to encourage us all to have faith in God and follow His Son Jesus Christ every day.
I hope the following blog posts will be an encouragement to you:

The Home We've Been Waiting For

This is Follow Jesus Radio encouraging you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow him daily. The title of this devotional thought is: The Home We've Been Waiting For.

The Apostle John writes: 'And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.”'

Think about that for a moment. The Creator of the galaxies, the one who knit you together in the womb, isn't just watching us from a distance. The ultimate goal of all history is for Him to move in with us. To dwell. To stay. To be ever-present.

In this worrisome world, we often feel like travelers in a foreign land. We carry the weight of bills, the ache of sickness, and the heaviness of loneliness. But Revelation 21:3 is our 'Welcome Home' banner.

Imagine the joy of a place where 'goodbye' isn't in the vocabulary. Picture walking through a landscape more vibrant than any mountain range on earth, finally free from the anxieties that dog our steps today.

Think of the reunions! We will be back with our loved ones who fell asleep in Christ. We’ll sit at the table with friends, sharing stories that never end. We will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a countless multitude—believers from every century, every nation, and every language—all united by the same grace.

But the crown of it all? It’s the face of Jesus. It’s sitting at the feet of our Heavenly Father, realizing that we are finally, truly, exactly where we were always meant to be. In His presence, there is fullness of joy. Not just a temporary happiness, but a soul-deep, eternal freedom.

If you are a fellow follower of Jesus, then rejoice over your future! If you do not know the forgiveness of Christ, then seek Jesus now and confess your sins and receive the gift of eternal life in your heavenly home.

That's it for this podcast. Follow Jesus Radio is here 24 hours a day to encourage you to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him daily. Remember, Jesus loves you and is just a prayer away.
