The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
I have a great idea. Let's make it our aim to fear our God today. I'm talking about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who sent Messiah Jesus. Looking up to God and fixing our love and devotion on Him brings the daily blessing of His company! What a happy situation! I want to be happy today, how about you?
Fixing our minds on God and fearing Him is a fountain of life. Imagine one of those big fountains you see in some cities, with all that water gushing up and about. On hot summer days, you can see kids stepping into those fountains to find refreshment and cool down from the heat. In the same way, we go to God and experience the refreshing blessing of being filled fresh and anew with His Holy Spirit. A well, a spring as it were, will gush out from us to bless others!
