I was reading in my Bible this morning about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Deuteronomy 32:39: “See now that I myself am he. There is no god besides me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is none who can deliver out of my hand."
Along this same theme, it is recorded in Isaiah 46:9-10: Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;
God's rule over all is also presented in Daniel 2:21: He changes the times and the seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Now think of this. God, in all His power and supremacy over all creation, had you very much in mind before you were even born! Psalms 139:16 says: Your eyes saw my body. In your book, they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
We can't even come to God unless He wills it: John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.
And John 6:65: He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by my Father.”
Your life has an origin and a purpose from the One who said "Let there be light!"
Think about it. And thank God you are loved so much that God sent His Son to take the punishment for your sins. And God has an eternal home for His children too! Wow. You can't beat that! Thank God!
