The Song of Moses includes this in Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Please understand that we are talking about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Not some "other" god that is proclaimed by those false prophets who claim to have a new revelation from God and a new interpretation of the Word of God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the God who sent Messiah Jesus to cleanse away our sins and to teach us how to live day by day. We can understand Jesus by opening our Bibles and reading what He has to say. And, of course, obeying what He says.
No matter how weak I feel, my aim is to trust and exalt Him. The dictionary says exalt means "hold (someone or something) in very high regard; think or speak very highly of."
If I pray for strength and my illness still makes me weak, I will trust and exalt Him. If I have new strength, I will trust and exalt Him.
In good seasons and not-so-good seasons, let's trust and exalt the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
